Hell in Heels

Personal branding…

So recently I did a paper for my social media at work class about how important personal branding is, and how to establish an online personality that would be desireable for potential employers. I did a bit of research on this and found some great sites online that offered suggestions that are easy to understand and employ in your own blog/twitter/whatever other means of an online personality you exhibit. I also talked a bit about how as dancers we don’t have one big, collective, social media site that encompasses everything we need in one spot. Just think about it… social exchanges of facebook+career minded aspects of LinkedIn. Facebook aldready has capabilities for pictures (helloo… as performers we ALL need headshots), videos, biographies, and message boards.. we just need a place to post those resumes-thats where the LinkedIn part comes in! If anyone is interested in reading, shoot me a message or comment and I’ll email it to you, or give you some of the articles I got the personal branding tips from! :)

In other news- booked 2 choreography jobs for football season and one job for doing a contemporary piece for NEXT contest season… wow these people want to learn dances EARLY.
